All cash reduced to ashes as fire engulfs ATM machine in Karachi

A fire burnt an automated teller machine (ATM), reducing all the cash inside it to ashes, in Khayaban-e-Ittehad area of Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to police, the fire broke out the other night in the ATM of Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) in Khayaban-e-Ittehad, Defence.
On information, police and the fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and overcame the fire.
“The fire engulfed the ATM and burnt it completely. It was feared that the fire would spread further, but it had been overcome,” police said.
“The reasons behind the fire eruption were yet to be ascertained,” they added.
