PBS registers record hike in flour price 

For the first time in the country's history, a 20kg flour sack has reached Rs2600, Pakistan Bureau Statistics said. 

The citizens of Karachi are forced to buy the most expensive flour in the country, the bureau said, adding that the flour is being sold at Rs 130 per kg in Karachi.

In Quetta, the price of a 20 kg bag of flour rose to Rs2,560, In Peshawar, it is sold for Rs2,500 and in Khuzdar up to Rs2,400.

In Sukkur and Larkana, a 20 kg bag is sold for up to Rs2400, and the price of a bag of flour in Islamabad is up to Rs1,295.
