Sugar prices increases by Rs6/kg

Sugar prices have been increased by Rs 6/kilogram driving the wholesale price to Rs. 135 per kilogram, reported 24News HD TV channel on Tuesday. 

According to reports, the cost of a 50-kilogram sugar bag has escalated by Rs. 300 over the past two weeks, reaching an all-time high of Rs. 6,750.

Retailers are now purchasing sugar at this inflated wholesale rate, further burdening consumers as market trends indicate a continued upward trajectory.
