SECP forms online portal for banks to open corporate accounts

In order to provide companies the facility to open corporate accounts, the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has formed an online portal for banks, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
So far the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) 26,125 companies have registered themselves with the NTN.
317 companies are registered with Pepsi and 569 companies are registered with Excise Department.
Foreign investment was made in different 841 companies.
448 companies from China, 46 from America, 36 from Britain, 35 from Afghanistan, 32 from Germany, 16 from Turkey and South Korea, 15 from UAE, 11 from Singapore, 10 from Nigeria and 10 companies from other countries were also registered.
WhatsApp helpline was also launched by the SECP.
