Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday paid tribute to the martyrs of the nation on the occasion of Eidul Fitr, acknowledging their sacrifices for the country’s peace and security, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As part of his homage, Mohsin Naqvi visited the residence of Shaheed Lieutenant Muhammad Hassan Ashraf in WAPDA Town in Lahore, where he met with the martyr’s father, Muhammad Ashraf, his brother, Muhammad Hanan Ashraf, and other family members. He spent time with them, expressing solidarity and offering condolences.

During the visit, Naqvi honoured Lt Hassan Ashraf’s extraordinary bravery and ultimate sacrifice in the fight against extremist terrorists. “Lieutenant Muhammad Hassan Ashraf courageously laid down his life while combating external terrorists. His bravery will always be remembered,” he stated.

The minister also offered prayers for the departed soul, acknowledging that heroes like Lt. Hassan Ashraf are a source of pride for the nation. “The entire nation is indebted to the sacrifices of our martyrs, and we will repay this debt by eradicating the scourge of terrorism,” Naqvi added.

Lt. Hassan Ashraf embraced martyrdom a few months ago in Miranshah while bravely fighting against external terrorists, demonstrating unwavering commitment to protecting Pakistan.

Naqvi extends Eid greetings

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has extended heartfelt Eidul Fitr greetings to the Muslim Ummah and the entire nation, highlighting the spiritual and social significance of the occasion.

In his message, Naqvi described Eidul Fitr as a day of gratitude and the completion of divine blessings following the holy month of Ramadan. He urged people to embrace the values of love, compassion, and tolerance while emphasizing the importance of unity and brotherhood among the Muslim community.

He also called on citizens to remember the underprivileged and share their happiness with those in need. “On this joyous occasion, we must not forget the needy and the less fortunate, and we should make an effort to include them in our celebrations,” he stated.

Naqvi paid tribute to the martyrs of the nation, urging people to honour their sacrifices and express solidarity with their families. He assured that law enforcement agencies are taking all necessary measures to ensure a safe and peaceful Eid for everyone.

Stressing the need for national unity, Naqvi encouraged people to set aside differences and work together for the country’s progress. “Let us pledge to build a strong and united nation and contribute to our country’s development,” he said.

Concluding his message, the interior minister prayed for Pakistan’s peace and prosperity, hoping that Allah grants the nation the ability to care for one another.

Naqvi offers Eid prayers in Lahore

Mohsin Naqvi offered Eidul Fitr prayers in Lahore and exchanged Eid greetings with relatives and the public. He extended heartfelt wishes to the nation on this joyous occasion.

Following the prayers, Naqvi prayed for the development, stability, sovereignty, peace, and prosperity of the country. A special prayer was also offered for the martyrs of the nation, paying tribute to their sacrifices and expressing solidarity with their families.

Expressing deep concern for oppressed Muslims in occupied Kashmir and Palestine, Naqvi offered special prayers for their relief and well-being.

“Eid is a time of joy, but we must also remember our underprivileged brothers and sisters and ensure they are included in our celebrations,” he stated.

The interior minister also emphasized the importance of honouring the country’s defenders, who have laid down their lives for Pakistan’s security. “We must never forget those who sacrificed their lives to protect our homeland,” he added.
