Meera Jee stresses on importance of harboring loyalty for one's homeland

Veteran Pakistani actress Meera has lately appeared as a guest in a popular TV show hosted by Tabish Hashmi which is known as 'Hasna Mana Hai’.

During the span of the conversation held at the show, Meera talked about different aspects of life and most importantly she highlighted the current economic situation of Pakistan due to which most residents are choosing to move abroad for study, business, job etc.

“You are the biggest loser if you leave your country”, Meera said.

Meera also shed light on the significance of harbouring loyalty for one’s homeland whereas she emphasized on the pride she has in her heart for her nation.

Meera declared: “Ham bara fakhar mehsoos kartay hain yeh kehnay mein ke mein America mein rehti hoon, Mein Dubai mein rehti hoon, Mein London mein rehti hoon, Pakistan noooo.” (We feel supremely proud saying that we live in America, Dubai or London but never Pakistan).

“Mujhe logo ko dekh kar un par rona ata hai mein unkay liye dua karti hoon ke Allah inko akal day. Aapki apnay mulk ke sath wafadari hi nahi hai aapko pata hi nahi ke mulk or maa kya hai.” (I feel sad when I look at such people who dont realize the essense of mother homeland and are not loyal to their country. I pray may Allah guide them towards the right path), she added.

The controversial Pakistani actress also revealed that she has American nationality and green card but for her leaving Pakistan is not an achievement but a major loss.
