Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced a plan to upgrade three major cricket stadiums in the country.
According to a PCB press release, Naqvi has asked for the final design plan for the upgradation of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore within three days.
He said that the work on the second phase of the plan, which involves the upgradation of National Stadium in Karachi and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, will start soon after.
Naqvi said that the aim of the upgradation plan is to improve the facilities for cricket fans and players in the stadiums.
He said that the stadiums will have more seats, better boxes, and enhanced security features.
He also said that the upgradation work will be completed with quality and speed before the Champions Trophy, which is scheduled to be held in Pakistan next year.
Naqvi made these remarks while chairing a meeting with Nespak officials, who gave a briefing on the upgradation of stadiums. The meeting was also attended by Director Infrastructure PCB and other concerned officials.
