PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has said that for upholding the constitution and the promotion of the rule of law, parliament was the best forum where all issues should be discussed instead of staging protests in the streets, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The former prime minister expressed these views while talking to the Deputy Chairman of the Senate, Senator Syedal Khan, who met him in Murree on Sunday.

Senator Syedal congratulated Nawaz Sharif on being elected as the President of PML-N. Nawaz Sharif also felicitated the deputy chairman on assuming the office and expected that he would play an effective role in the Upper House for the strengthening of the federation, national unity and promotion of democracy. Senator Irfan Siddiqui, the leader of the Muslim League (N) parliamentary party, was also present on the occasion.
