Azam Swati calls for immediate reversal of Junaid Akbar’s appointments after meeting with Imran Khan

Former federal minister Azam Khan Swati has met the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, where key party matters and recent appointments were discussed, reported 24NewsHd TV channel Tuesday.
Speaking to the media outside the jail, Swati revealed that he informed the PTI founder about Junaid Akbar’s performance, acknowledging his good work but also conveying the founder’s directive to immediately withdraw all appointments made by Akbar.
Swati further stated that the PTI founder emphasized the importance of internal party decisions and declared that if the committee had recommended it, the Speaker of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly should resign immediately.
During the meeting, Swati also raised concerns about corruption allegations against Sardar Khan and Ikramullah, questioning their appointments despite the charges against them. He added that he informed the PTI founder about corruption cases in Mansehra and stressed the need for transparency in committee affairs.
Swati also mentioned that Khan was briefed on Punjab-related issues, particularly regarding Alia Hamza facing obstacles in her path.
Emphasizing the urgency of securing the PTI founder’s release, Swati reaffirmed the party’s commitment to fighting for his freedom. He also praised Ali Amin Gandapur for his stance against corruption, stating that he met the founder with Gandapur’s approval.
