Hundreds of trees destroyed as fire spreads in Mirpur forests 

The fire that started from the Nimbal forests has burnt the forests of Khambtop, Nai Tehar and Sahar Mirpur Azad Kashmir, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Late at night, local people with the help of army troops doused the fire of the nearby forests of the village. 

However, citizens are facing difficulties due to smoke in the city and its surroundings from forest fires.

Local sources said that more places have been overrun by counterfire and defence lines are also being built in more forests.

Hundreds of trees have been burnt by the fire two days ago, local people said.

The forest department did not take any steps to control the fire in the beginning, local people blamed.
