Vegetable, fruit, LPG shops, tandoors can remain open even after 5pm

April 2, 2020 03:39 PM

The Lahore DIG Operations on Thursday issued new directives to the area SSPs which say that the tandoors, vegetable and fruits shops as well as atta chakis till open even after 5pm, 24NewsHD reported.

The latest orders came as the government had decided to close all shops at 5pm as it wanted a stricter implementation of lockdown. However, the changes are brought in to lessen the problems faced by the people.

According to the DIG, restaurants can be opened after 5pm for takeaway or home delivery. This relaxation in timing is also applicable to the LPG filling stations and godowns.

Similarly, postal and couriers services will also remain open albeit with fewer staff members.

Moreover, two members of a family now can leave their homes to buy groceries or in case of any ailment.

However, the ban on public transport for travelling to other cities and districts will remain in effect.
