Youm-e-Ali (R.A) observed across country with devotion and reverence

The martyrdom day (Youm-i-Ali) of fourth pious caliph of Islam, Ali ibn Abi Talib, was observed with religious fervour amid tight security across Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Mourning processions were taken out on prescribed routes in different parts of the country.
Strict security arrangements were implemented to avoid any untoward incident on the occasion of Youm-e-Ali (R.A).
Majalis were held in which zakireen (narrators) highlighted the life and teachings of Hazrat Ali while processions were taken out across the country.
Hazrat Ali suffered fatal injuries in an attack by a Kharijite dissident Ibn Muljim on 19th Ramazan in 40 AH (661 CE) while going to say Fajr prayer in Iraqi city Kufa.
He embraced martyrdom on the 21st of Ramazan.
In Lahore, the main procession was taken out from the historic Mubarak Haveli in Mochi Gate, which culminated at Karbala Gamey Shah outside Bhati Gate. Elaborate security arrangements were made for the procession.
Additional security cameras were installed and security was beefed up for the main procession.
The participants were allowed to join the procession after passing walk-through gates and metal detectors.
The processions were monitored through CCTV cameras. More than 7,000 personnel have been deployed along the route to ensure the safety of the participants.
In Karachi, the main procession was taken out from Nishtar Park at 1 pm. More than 5,000 police and Rangers personnel were deployed for the security of the participants in processions. The main procession passed through its designated route and culminated at Hussainiya Iranian.
The main procession in Karachi started from Nishtar Park and reached Imambargah Hussainia located in Kharadar in the evening.
Karachi Traffic Police announced a traffic diversion plan for Youm-e-Ali (RA).
Roadblocks and containers were set up on Karachi’s MA Jinnah Road, Empress Market, Saddar, and Preedy Street.
In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, processions were also taken out on Sunday night which culminated at Sehr on Monday.
In the capital, the main procession was taken out from Imambargah Zainabiya in Sector G-5/4 passed through its traditional route, and reached Imambargah Asna Ashri.
In Rawalpindi and Peshawar, the processions were also culminated.
In Multan, the main procession was taken out from Imambargah in Chah Boharwala.
