Transgender murder triggers protest in Nowshera

A heavy police contingent was called in to control the situation after members of the transgender community in Nowshera blocked a road on Wednesday following the death of a member of their community in an incident of firing at a passenger coach, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The assailants, who were travelling on a bike, however, managed to flee from the spot.
Giving details, the police said that the firing took place on Nizampur to Khairabad road due to which Shagufta, the eunuch, died on the spot.
The body of the deceased was shifted to Qazi Hussain Ahmad Medical Complex, Nowshera for the post-mortem.
Man kills uncle in Jhelum
In Abbaspura, Jhelum, a man killed his uncle by repeatedly attacking him with a knife over a domestic dispute.
As per details, Iftikhar alias Uffi first had a brawl with his sister. And when his uncle intervened, he attacked him with a knife, killing him on the spot.
Police shifted the body to the DHQ Hospital and arrested the murderer.
