Lights of the Punjab Assembly on Sunday closed and the mosque has also been locked, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The opposition members sitting on the assembly premises held a protest. They said that no arrangements have been done for Iftar and providing water for ablution.
While Leader of the Opposition in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz said that from the press conference of Chaudhry Sarwar, everything is cleared.
Hamza said that he did not need to take any unconstitutional steps. He said that the National and Provincial Assemblies became a spectacle.
Today is the darkest day in the history of the country, said Hamza, adding that the Supreme Court has taken action on its own.
Hamza said that hopefully, the court will decide the supremacy of the constitution.
“The constitution and the law are for everyone, the Supreme Court will give us justice”, said Hamza.
Hamza said that today is the day that reflects the thinking of PM Imran. All the action taken today is unconstitutional, Hamza said.
He lambasted the premier and said that he called a meeting for the head of the house, but ran away. With the decision of the Supreme Court, there will be a rule of law and constitution, Hamza said.
On the other hand, former minister Abdul Aleem Khan took a jibe at the premier and said that "When you see defeat, the sportsman spirit is to accept the decision with an open heart.”
