Five dacoits killed in Karachi, Kashmore encounters

Five dacoits were killed in two alleged encounters with police in Karachi and Kashmore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday. 

In the first shootout, two unidentified dacoits were killed in a gunbattle with police on Kashmore Indus Highway.

According to the police, they received information that two armed persons were on looting spree on Kashmore Highway. A police team was also patrolling nearby. As they saw the dacoits, the cops tried to stop them but they opened fire on police party which was retaliated. As a result, the two dacoits were killed on the spot. 

The expired dacoits have not yet been identified as their bodies were moved to Civil Hospital. 

Police claimed to have recovered stolen a motorcycle and weapons from their possession. 

Separately, Karachi police gunned down three robbers in an alleged encounter. 

SSP Korangi Sajid Suddozai said that the shootout took place when the robbers tried to enter a house with the intention of robbery. 

The police swung into action after receiving the information and reached the scene. 

On seeing the police, the robbers started firing. In retaliation, the police fired back and killed the three robbers.
