Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Lahore has demanded the government start a cancer registry program for saving precious lives, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

PMA Lahore chapter president Dr. Ashraf Nizami while addressing a seminar in connection with World Cancer Day said that cancer is one of the leading causes of death worldwide and government should take prompt measures to stop the ‘killer disease’.   The seminar was organized by Pakistan Medical Association Lahore here at PMA House on Friday.  

Ashraf Nizami said a cancer registry program in the country is the need of the hour, which will not only provide a timely diagnosis of the disease but also facilitate timely treatment and accurate statistics of the disease in the country can also be obtained.

Dr. Malik Shahid Shaukat General Secretary PMA Lahore, Dr. Izhar Ahmed Chaudhry, Prof. Dr. Tanveer Anwar, Prof. Khalid Mehmood Khan, Dr. Iram Shahzadi, Dr. Wajid Ali, Dr. Bushra Haq, Dr. Iftikhar ul Haq Qureshi, Dr. Rana Sohail, Dr. Riaz Zulqarnain Aslam, Dr. Talha Sherwani, Dr. Salman Kazmi and other doctors and people from all walks of life attended the seminar.
