Court grants bail to Imran Khan’s lawyer in brawl case

A court in Islamabad on Monday approved the bail application of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s lawyer Sher Afzal Khan Marwat in the case of exchanging blows with PML-N Senator Afnanullah Khan during a private news channel programme until October 4, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Granting bail to Marwat, Additional Sessions Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra also ordered him to deposit bail bonds of Rs5,000 each.
Two days ago, on Saturday, the PML-N senator had registered a first information report (FIR) against Sher Afzal Khan Marwat on charges of assaulting him during a live media show.
Afnan and Marwat had engaged in a scuffle during a television programme on Wednesday after an exchange of hot words.
