Condemning armed attack on the house of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senator and party’s member of the provincial assembly (MPA) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Foreign Minister and PPP Co-Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday termed it an act of ‘naked’ terrorism, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a statement, he said that an assault on Senator Shamim Afridi and MPA Amjad Afridi’s home was simply not acceptable. “This speaks in volumes for the fragile law and order situation of the province,” he said, and demanded that those involved in the incident be arrest immediately.
“Political workers who believe in democracy are not safe in the province, which is being governed by the party which is sympathetic to terrorists,” he commented.
Bilawal urged the KP government to provide security to both the PPP senator and MPA.
