Woman throws newborn baby from sixth floor in Karachi

Super Market Police in Karachi on Sunday booked a woman who had thrown her newborn from the sixth floor of a building in Liaquatabad area of the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Police said they had taken the woman named Sana into custody and were questioning her in connection with the case. 

The Force further said that the woman, who had been divorced a few years ago, appeared to be mentally unstable, and was an addict. Since she was not mentally sound, therefore she would also be referred to a psychiatrist for a checkup, the police said, adding her overall medical examination would be conducted tomorrow (Monday).

They revealed that DNA samples had been obtained from the girl’s body. 

Moreover, the Force said that her neighbours had confirmed that she was the mother of that child. The body of the baby girl was one day old, they disclosed.
