Since the December 2024 edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking™, a total of 245 international matches have been played worldwide. Teams from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and South America participated in FIFA World Cup 2026™ qualifiers, while sides from Concacaf and UEFA competed in their respective Nations League tournaments and friendly matches.
These fixtures have brought about several changes in the standings, including some notable shifts within the top 10.
Argentina (1st) remains at the top following strong victories, including a 1-0 win away to Uruguay and a dominant 4-1 home win over Brazil. However, Spain (2nd, up 1) has risen to second place, taking advantage of France’s (3rd, down 1) slip-up in Croatia. Despite the drop, France stays on the podium, while England (4th) and Brazil (5th) complete the top five.
The Netherlands (6th, up 1) is closing in on the top spots, having surpassed Portugal (7th, down 1). Belgium (8th), Italy (9th), and Germany (10th) have all held their positions in the top 10, while Croatia (11th, up 2) and Morocco (12th, up 2) continue to close in.
Mexico (17th, up 2) has climbed after winning the Concacaf Nations League, while Panama (33rd, up 3) have been rewarded with a rise in the rankings for their strong performance. Norway (38th, up 5), Czechia (39th, up 3), and Côte d’Ivoire (41st, up 5) have all seen significant improvements, and Paraguay (48th, up 5) and Tunisia (49th, up 3) have made their way back into the top 50 after a brief absence.
Other notable risers include Slovenia (51st, up 4), Bosnia and Herzegovina (70th, up 4), and Gabon (79th, up 5). Additionally, Kyrgyz Republic (103rd, up 4), Vietnam (109th, up 5), Zimbabwe (116th, up 5), Sierra Leone (124th, up 5), the Philippines (146th, up 4), and Eswatini (155th, up 4) have also made impressive advances. Myanmar (162nd, up 7) is the biggest mover in terms of rank.
Finally, Canada (30th, up 1) and Kosovo (97th, up 2) have reached their highest-ever positions in the April 2025 ranking.
