Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ali Amin Gandapur has been released from a Sindh jail, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.

PTI members and supporters including Rajesh Kumar, Abdul Aziz and Halim Adil accorded him a rosy welcome

Ali was imprisoned in Sukkur Central Jail.

The release was made following the extension in his bail grant by a court

Along with a caravan, he left Sindh for Punjab.

The ex-minister has been facing charges of hate-mongering and issuing provocative statements against the state organs.

The PTI leadership has been claiming that key party figures have been enduring ‘political persecution’ because the rulers wanted to crush the snap poll campaign launched by Imran Khan after his ouster from the PMO in April last.

He blamed his ouster on the US after his government made an ‘independent’ foreign policy. However, Washington denied any wrongdoing.

Imran Khan took to the streets to mount pressure on the government and dissolved the Punjab and KP assemblies after his demo failed to bear fruit.
