Holidays announced in Jhelum schools

Over 1,300 policemen called from other districts to ensure floodproof security during PTI long march

In many educational institutions of Jhelum, educational activities were suspended and holidays announced in view of the long march of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Government Tabligh-ul-Islam High School, Government Degree College Tahlianwala, Pandori High School and Sohawa College are among the educational institutions where the holidays were announced.

“For how long the educational institutions remain closed, it will be deiced by the deputy commissioner,” said DO Education Wilayat Shah.

“More than 1,300 policemen from different districts have been called and deployed in schools, colleges and police lines,” said the police spokesperson.

“Over 1,300 police personnel have been called from other districts to ensure foolproof security and deal with any emergency situation,” added he.
