A team of LESCO Sub-Division employees cut off the electricity of the Johar Town branch of Yasir Broast, a food chain in Lahore, for not giving them a free meal on Monday.
According to sources, the LESCO employees went to Yasir Broast to get the food and refused to pay the bill. When Yasir Broast's staff insisted on payment, they cut the high voltage jumper of 11 KV without taking safety measures and disconnected the electricity supply of the food chain.
The CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced online.
LESCO Chief Engineer Operations Raja Mehmood took notice of the incident and ordered an investigation.
He directed the director of safety to identify and hold accountable the responsible employees.
It is pertinent to mention here that two LESCO employees recently died in the Shadbagh and Band Road areas in Lahore due to following not the safety protocols.
