NAB chairman visits Civil Secretariat in Lahore

NAB Chairman Lt-Gen (r) Nazir Ahmad Butt visited Civil Secretariat in Lahore on Monday, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

Transparency has been ensured at all levels in the administrative and financial affairs of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi said, adding that the officers are honest and hard working to ensure better public service delivery.
Speaking on the occasion, the NAB chief said A cell is being established in the Chief Secretary Office under the Punjab government to take up complaints against the government officials.
The proceedings will be confidential and there will be no media trial, he said, adding that NAB will take action wherever necessary by taking the chief secretary into confidence and mistakes made by NAB in the past will be rectified.
In procurement and development projects, NAB and the Punjab government will propose amendments as the aim of NAB is not to harass anyone but to ensure transparency at all levels.
After the session, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman and all the provincial bureaucracy expressed full confidence in the vision of the NAB chairman.
The Chairman OF Planning and Development, Additional Chief Secretary, Senior Member Board of Revenue, Additional Chief Secretary of Interior, Secretaries of all departments and senior officials of NAB were also present on the occasion.
