Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has inaugurated police apartments "One Lahore", built at Qurban Lines in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi was the chief guest at the special ceremony of handing over keys of the apartments to police officers at Qurban Lines on Tuesday.


On the occasion, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi gave the keys of the apartments to the lucky police officers and also visited apartments where he praised the quality of police residences.


Talking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the finishing work of the apartments was completed to a high standard.


Mohsin Naqvi said the solution of the problems of police accommodation is very important.


Mohsen Naqvi said he has done as much work as he could for the welfare of the police in a short period of time.


He said that these police apartments have been completed in just 41 days for which credit goes to Secretary Construction and Communications and his team who worked day and night, Mohsin Naqvi said.


As many as 313 houses are being built for the police and funds will also be provided for the construction of these houses, said Mohsin Naqvi.


He said that Inspector General of Police (IGP) has done a lot of work for the police.


One era is before Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar and the other era is of Dr. Usman Anwar, said Mohsen Naqvi.


He said our team in Punjab worked hard day and night to deliver and everyone contributed.


“I congratulate the police officers and wish them all the best”, Mohsin Naqvi said.


Talking on the occasion, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said the issue of accommodation for police officers is quite old.


After talking to Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi to solve this problem, he started the work immediately, said IG.


He said Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi immediately allocated funds of Rs41 billion for various police projects.


IG police said that the work done by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi to solve the police problems is exemplary.


Earlier, Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar gave a briefing to Punjab CM about the apartments.


Secretary Construction and Communications, CCPO Lahore, DIG Operations, Additional IG Development and senior police officials were also present on the occasion.
