Another case of polio came to light in the country taking the national polio cases tally to 57 this year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The samples of the 5-year-old child were sent to the laboratory on June 20 and his results came back on Monday. The polio-infected child is from Karachi, the anti-polio campaign spokesman said.

In June, a polio case was reported from Balochistan, according to health officials. The victim of the virus was a three-month-old infant hailing from the Duki area of Balochistan.
