A scuffle erupted between women passengers arriving from Abu Dhabi and customs officials at Lahore Airport after a dispute over the clearance of bridal lehengas.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the confrontation quickly turned violent, with slaps, shoes thrown, and an intense physical altercation reported at the scene.

According to details, the clash began when the customs staff stopped the women over uncleared lehenga items, leading to shouting, physical assault, and chaos in the arrival area.

Eyewitnesses and sources revealed that a female passenger slapped a customs officer, prompting retaliation.

CCTV footage is said to have captured the brawl, where a female customs officer pulled a passenger by the hair, while another passenger reportedly struck officers with a shoe.

The female passenger involved in the slapping was taken into custody by customs personnel, and legal proceedings have been initiated.

Customs officials stated that the altercation stemmed from the passengers’ resistance to customs clearance procedures for their belongings.

According to customs authorities, three female passengers arriving from Abu Dhabi on flight number 854 attempted to smuggle valuable items, leading to a violent scuffle with customs officials.

The three burqa-clad women were found trying to smuggle 24 security cameras and approximately 40 kilograms of high-value clothing into the country without clearance.

The situation escalated when customs officials refused to clear the items, triggering a confrontation.

The altercation turned physical as the passengers allegedly attacked the customs officers, vandalised customs offices, and attempted to forcibly retrieve the confiscated goods.

One of the accused reportedly issued death threats to female customs cop Mahnoor and snatched the goods from her custody, later handing them over to unidentified individuals.

A case has been officially registered at Sarwar Road Police Station against the women for smuggling, interfering in official government duties, vandalism, and issuing criminal threats.
