PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto visited Governor House Punjab and attended an iftar dinner held for PPP workers, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.
Besides PPP chairman, Iftar dinner was attended by Governor Saleem Haider, Aitzaz Ahsan, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Syed Hassan Murtaza, Manzoor Wattoo, Abuzar Shad, Tanveer Ashraf Kaira, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Belum Hasnain and others. Leaders and activists from all over Punjab including Ayesha Ch, Shahida Jabeen, Nargis Faiz, Sadaqat Sherwani, Munawar Anjum and Mian Atique were also present.
However, PPP iftar dinner also faced mismanagement as PPP workers raised slogan and staged protest against the Punjab leadership. Jialas kept loudly chanting slogans against Punjab leadership dead in front of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
There was a clash between security personnel and jialas. PPP leadership remained silent during the clash. Jialas demanded an immediate change of the Punjab leadership. PPP Central Punjab President Raja Pervez Ashraf addressing the ceremony thanked Bilawal Bhutto. He lauded the vision of the Bhutto family. He said after Eid, PPP will complete the organization and start door to door campaign.
Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan also thanked Chairman PPP who came to Lahore on his invitation. He said today it has become clear that the PPP is alive in Punjab. The coming time belongs to the PPP. Punjab belongs to the PPP. He said Inshallah, PPP will all vote for Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to be the Prime Minister.
PPP Chairman Bilawal on the occasion assured PPP workers that their respect will be restored.
Bilawal said he was happy to hear the slogans of Jeey Bhutto coming from the Governor House. He said PPP is playing an important role in the country's politics. The people are facing difficulties. The threat of terrorism is seen from Balochistan.
He said people are suffering poverty and unemployment. There is division in our politics. It has become difficult to reach a consensus even on national issues. Some political parties did not attend the National Security meeting. They had their own personal issues and they became burdensome on the national issues. The Prime Minister should call the Security Council meeting again. And the rest of the political parties should also be invited.
