Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Murad Ali Shah on Monday pinned rank badges on Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon in Karachi, reported 24HD News Channel on Monday.
On this occasion, Murad Ali Shah also congratulated IG Sindh on his promotion to BS-22.
Prominent among those who attended the ceremony include Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Interior Minister Ziaul Nigar, Secretary of the Interior Iqbal Memon, Principal Secretary Agha Wasif, Additional Inspector-General of Police Karachi Javed Alam Odho, DIG Fida Mastoi, DIG Asif Ejaz Shaikh, and other high-ranking officials.
Addressing the participants, Murad Ali Shah said that Inspector-General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon worked hard and deserved promotion due to his devotion.
Murad Ali Shah said, “This promotion is not an honour but also an addition to your responsibilities”.
In a light mood while addressing the IGP, Murad Ali Shah said that in the beginning I expressed my objection that a police officer should be a person who used strong language instead of soft words, as was being used by Ghulam Nabi Memon.
