78 police inspectors promoted to DSP rank

In a major reshuffle within the Punjab Police, 78 inspectors have been promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). The decision was made during a departmental review meeting, presided over by Additional Inspector General Punjab Sultan Ahmed Chaudhry. The promotions were granted after a thorough evaluation of the officers' service records and performance.

To begin with, the following officers have been promoted: Nasrullah Chattha, Asif Atta, Zafar Iqbal, Munawar Hussain, Rao Dilshad Ali, Sardar Muhammad Afzal, Faisal Abbas, Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Arshad, Qamar Sajjad, Zulfiqar Muhammad, Imran Haider, Sajid Hameed, Aamir Iqbal, Khalid Mehmood, Abdul Ghaffar Khan, Muhammad Zariyat, Shahid Nazir, Waheed Akhtar, and Syed Ishtiaq Hussain Bukhari.

In addition, the promotion list includes Abdul Basit, Mahmood Ahmed, Zubair Ahmed, Abdul Azeem, Azmat Ali, Zulfiqar Ahmed, Asad Rasheed, Ansar Farooq, Shehzad Asghar, Muhammad Akhtar Mahmood, Sagheer Ahmed Mirza, Qamar Abbas, Muhammad Iftikhar, Muhammad Javed, Asif Rasheed Malik, Syed Siraj Hameed, Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan, Abdul Sattar, Shafqat Ali, Khalid Mehmood, and Mahmood-ul-Hassan Sabir.

Furthermore, other officers who have been elevated to the DSP rank are Anil Anwar, Babar Ashraf, Sibtullah, Saleem Akhtar Khan, Tahir Hussain, Zulfiqar Ali, Zafar Iqbal, Muhammad Rashid Zaheer, Syed Hussain Haider, Muhammad Afzal, Muhammad Yaqoob, Mahmood Akbar, Tajammul Hussain Shah, Riaz Ahmed, Abdul Shakoor, Nazar Muhammad, Muhammad Waseem Akbar, Ilyas Haider, and Naeem Akhtar.

Moreover, the list also includes Muhammad Akbar Mehmood, Muhammad Ashraf, Abdul Majeed, Zaki Rehan, Muhammad Saleem Kamran, Fayyaz Ahmed, Sajjad Akbar, Samiullah Khan, Zaman Raza, Sajjad Ali, Yasir Matloob, Akbar Abbas, Abdul Ghaffar, Tahir Anees, Khan Shabbir, Arshad Qayyum, Abid Hussain, and Irshad Hussain.

Notably, the Punjab Police has now promoted more than 200 inspectors to DSP rank over the past two years. This initiative aims to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen leadership within the force. The official notification for the promoted officers is expected to be issued soon after final approval from the Inspector General of Punjab Police.
