Call to take anti-corona steps during Muharram, I-Day gatherings

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) was apprised on Friday about a code of conduct to get Covid-19 SOPs enforced during Muharram and Independence Day events.
A meeting of the Centre with Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar in the chair deliberated upon anti-corona measures after resuming some activities.
The forum was informed that wearing of face masks including simple cloth masks help in containing Covid-19 spread.
Asad Umar said coronavirus threat looming large so carelessness can cause the return of pandemic.
He continued: “The people have been very responsive and they showed patience to fight coronavirus. If the same spirit is shown it will help address health concerns."
He urged federal and provincial administrations to ensure public safety during upcoming Muharram. Interior Minister Ejaz Ahmed Shah, Special Assistant to PM on Health Dr Faisal Sultan also attended the meeting.
