Karachi Kings have been eliminated from race for the playoffs after losing seven out of the nine matches they have played so far in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight.

The team had lost their campaign opener against Peshawar Zalmi as the latter beat them by two runs in a nail-biter.

The team then suffered a defeat at the hands of Islamabad United in their second match as the latter won by four wickets with 10 balls remaining.

The team experienced a consecutive defeat in their third match against Quetta Gladiators as they lost the match by six runs.

In their fourth match, Karachi Kings finally managed to stage a comeback and inflicted a massive 67-run defeat on Lahore Qalandars. It was Qalandars’ only defeat in PSL 8.

However, they lost ground in their fifth match against Multan Sultans and suffered a three-run defeat at the hands of the latter.

Karachi Kings bounced back in their sixth match and flattened Multan Sultans by 66 runs.

They, however, failed to cash in on the previous victory and lost their seventh match against Peshawar Zalmi by 24 runs.

They then lost their eighth match too against Islamabad United by six wickets in the last over and were finally eliminated from race for the playoffs after being beaten by Quetta Gladiators in their ninth match.
