Eid-ul-Fitr is being joyously celebrated throughout the world espeically in Islamic countries including Pakistan on Wednesday, with fervent religious observance. Eid congregations took place at various open spaces, mosques, and Eidgahs across villages, towns, and cities.


Muslim ummah across the world especially in Islamic countries including Saudi Arab, Afghanistan and Iran are also celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr with religious enthusiasm today.


Special prayers were earnestly offered during Eid sermons, seeking blessings for the progress and prosperity of the nation, as well as the liberation of Muslim territories, including Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.


Eid-ul-Fitr is also being celebrated with religious devotion and respect in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). All over Azad Kashmir, large and small Eid gatherings were held and rallies were held to express solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian and Kashmiri people.

In Islamabad, the main Eid congregation will be held at Faisal Mosque and in Lahore at Badshahi Mosque and Masjid Wazir Khan where government dignitaries, foreign diplomats besides common people offerred Eid Prayer.


Eid-ul-Fitr is a three-day festival and it celebrated globally by Muslims to commemorate the fasting month's completion. To ensure a peaceful celebration, security measures were intensified across the country, with thousands of police personnel deployed.

President Asif Ali Zardari offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in Nawabshah and prayed for the safety of the country. After the Eid prayer, the President called the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and congratulated him on Eid. The President and the Prime Minister expressed good wishes to each other.


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered Eid prayer at Model Town in Lahore. On this occasion, special prayers were offered for the safety, peace, progress and prosperity of the country and the unity of the Muslim Ummah. Later, the Prime Minister mingled with namazis present there and exchanged Eid greetings.

The ruling party, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Nawaz Sharif along with other family members offered Eid prayer at Jati Umera. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was also present in the Jati Umera residence and celebrated Eid with the family members.


Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto offered Eid prayer at his native town Naudero and visited the shrines of his grandfather Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and mother Sheheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.


Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan offered Eid prayers in his native village of Bunir district.


Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman offered Eid prayers at Badshahi Masjid while Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at Governor House. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur offered Eid prayer in his native district Dera Ismail Khan


 


In the Eid messages, Pakistan's top leadership expressed solidarity with the war-torn nation, urging the international community to prioritize immediate peace in Gaza and provide assistance to the Palestinians.
