Punjab government will not give loans to non-filers for solar panels as Energy Department has set conditions for being a filer for solar panel loan under Roshan Gharana Scheme programme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to sources, it will also be necessary for consumers to be an active tax payer as well.
The Punjab government will give loans to the citizens for solar panels on easy installments of five years but borrowing customers will be required to be a filer, sources said.
Conditions will not be imposed on 200 unit white consumers while for consumers from 201 to 500 units, the condition of being a filer will be mandatory.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will approve the Roshan Gharana scheme in a special meeting today.
Under the Roshan Gharana scheme, consumers will now be able to install solar panels through the bank.
