Punjab govt weighs to downsize poor performing departments

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the plan to downsize the inept and poor-performing departments in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Punjab Chief Minister approved that various ministries and departments, which work for similar assignments should be merged.

By restructuring and downsizing, the performance of various departments will be made simple, easy and swift. The plan was aimed at saving billions of rupees which will help massive reduction in the annual expenditures of the government.
