Data Compiled: FBR to launch countrywide operation against tax evaders

Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) has compiled complete data on tax evaders and prepared a strategy to launch a grand operation against the accused traders across the country.
According to the 24News HD TV channel report, FBR has formed teams under the supervision of commissioners of different zones to take action against the tax evaders.
The channel reported that actions would be taken against those who did not pay tax according to bogus invoices and income in different stages.
In the first phase, FBR operations will be carried out against tax evaders in three major cities including Lahore, Karachi and Faisalabad.
In the second phase, the circle around the tax defaulters will be tightened in other big cities of the country.
As per the plan of the bureau, the process of issuing tax notices to tax defaulters will be started soon and it will be necessary to submit all the required documents within one week after the tax notices are issued.
The channel report said that the taxpayers in Lahore are paying less tax than the business income while the tax-paying businessmen showed high charity to its real amounts in their records.
