Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Friday condemned the government’s attack on the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for its stance against the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM).

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PPP chairman in his tweet on the matter congratulated the members of the opposition in the Senate who thwarted the passage of the Electronic Voting Act in the Committee on Parliamentary Affairs.

Bilawal said that the senators thwarted the electronic voting law despite undemocratic tactics used by the government for the approval of it.

The PPP chairman in the Twitter message said his party would not allow the government rigging in the next general election through the EVM.

Earlier addressing the PPP rallies in the South Punjab region, Bilawal said that according to Transparency International (an independent survey organization), the most corruption was taking place under the sitting government of Imran Khan.

He said the PPP raised salaries and pensions of government employees in its last tenure but the Imran government had snatched the jobs.
