Gujranwala Bar Council (GBC) on Wednesday moved a complaint before the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) seeking necessary action against the Supreme Court’s Justice Qazi Isa, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The reference held that Justice Qazi Isa violated the ‘Code of Conduct for Judges’ by attending a convention held in the parliament. 

“The Constitution of Pakistan calls for a distinction between the judiciary and the executive but Justice Isa interacted with corrupt politicians and committed a violation of the code,” it stated. 

It is requested that the SJC should hold an inquiry into the matter and initiate “proper proceedings” followed by his removal as senior judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan”.
