Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars clash in PSL X opening match tonight

The HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL X) tenth edition is all set to start from today April 11, 2025 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
This is the first time that Rawalpindi city will host the opening ceremony of Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament.
As per Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the opening ceremony will start at 7:00pm followed by the inaugural match between defending champions Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars.
The match is scheduled to start at 8:30pm tonight.
The tournament, featuring six teams, will be played across four major venues — Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, and Multan — with the final scheduled to be held at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 18.
The opening ceremony promises to be a cultural spectacle, with a diverse lineup of performances. Legendary Sufi singer Abida Parveen will take the stage, followed by a cultural showcase by Ali Zafar and a contemporary performance by the popular rap duo Young Stunners.
Adding to the fanfare, the artists behind the official HBL PSL X anthem — Abrar ul Haq, Natasha Baig, Talha Anjum and Ali Zafar — will also perform live. The event will conclude with a grand fireworks display.

The PCB has also requested all media outlets to use the official nomenclature “HBL PSL X” in all coverage, headlines, and bulletins related to the tournament.
