Karachi Kings’ all-rounder Aamer Jamal has been fined for breaching the level 1 code of conduct during his team’s thrilling two-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi on Monday.

The on-field incident occurred during the high-intensity Pakistan Super League (PSL) clash held yesterday, where Aamer Jamal was found guilty of violating Article 2.5 of the International Cricket Council (ICC) code of conduct.

The article pertains to the use of inappropriate language, gestures, or actions during a match that could provoke an aggressive response.

As a result, the match referee imposed a fine amounting to 5% of Aamer Jamal’s match fee.

The penalty is in accordance with disciplinary procedures designed to maintain decorum on the field and discourage unsportsmanlike conduct.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) emphasized that such penalties serve as a reminder to players about maintaining professionalism, especially in high-pressure situations.

Aamer Jamal's actions were deemed contrary to the spirit of the game, although no further disciplinary action such as suspension was considered necessary at this stage.

The incident took place during a dramatic game in which Karachi Kings edged past Peshawar Zalmi by two wickets, in what turned out to be one of the most exciting matches of the season.
