Thousands of Panadol tablet cartons seized in Mardan

The Drug Control Authority has seized thousands of cartons of Panadol tablets in an operation in Mardan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Drug Control Authority officials took into custody 11,400 cartons stuffed with Panadol tables from a godown in Mardan, said a spokesman for the city deputy commissioner.
The spokesman further said the action was taken after a number of complaints were received from the public about the shortage and non-availability of Panadol tablets.
The spokesman said the seizing of the medicine will be thoroughly probed and the people responsible for artificial shortage will be dealt in accordance with the law.
He said the Panadol tables were in great demand now as it is used for relief from pain and fever in case of Covid-19 infection.
