Bajaur bomb blast toll rises to seven as two injured cops expire

Another injured of the Monday’s deadly bomb blast in Bajaur District succumbed to his injuries at a Peshawar hospital on Thursday, taking the death toll to eight, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Lady Reading Hospital spokesman Muhammad Asim informed media that total 11 injured of the Bajaur terror attack were brought to the hospital, two of them expired on Tuesday and another today.

He said condition of three of the remaining eight wounded was still very serious and they have been admitted to the ICU.

As many as 24 people were injured in the blast near a police van in the Mamund tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bajaur district on Monday.

The blast took place when a truck carrying around 25 police personnel for the purpose of providing security cover to polio teams was targeted by an IED (improvised explosive device).
