In a groundbreaking move towards digitalization, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has introduced new technological advancements to enhance transparency and efficiency in the judicial system, reported 24NewsHd TV channel Tuesday.

Under the leadership of Chief Justice Miss Alia Neelam, significant steps are being taken to modernize court proceedings through digital platforms.

For the first time, litigants and lawyers will be able to watch live proceedings of the cause list via the LHC’s mobile application and official website. This initiative aims to increase accessibility and streamline the legal process.

Additionally, the attendance system for court staff has been digitalized, with a location-based mobile app launched on the Android Play Store. The iOS version will be available soon, allowing all staff members to mark attendance digitally, while supervisory officers can monitor records in real time.

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the Lahore High Court IT Wing have successfully completed all technical work to implement these features.

According to Chief Justice Alia Neelam, leveraging modern information technology is essential for judicial reforms. The LHC mobile app and website will be further improved to provide better services for lawyers and plaintiffs, ensuring smooth access to case proceedings.
