E-challan through safe cities cameras challenged in Lahore High Court

The electronic challan system through Safe City cameras has been challenged in the Lahore High Court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to detail, a citizen named Falak Sher moved the court through lawyer Mazhar Ameen Ch by contending that e challan system is unfair and against the law. He claimed that people are fined without being heard, which is unfair. He requested to the LHC to cancel e challan system through safe city cameras. In this case, he made the Punjab Government, Home Secretary, and IG Punjab the party.
Earlier, LHC Registrar’s Office raised an objection on the application.
Registrar’s Office said the petitioner did not attach a certified copy of a case already filed by the Punjab Government about e-challans. After the removing of objection, Registrar office accepted the application for hearing.
