The free rides on metro buses are going to end tomorrow, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will start charging fares from Monday.

The stop-to-stop fare of the Green Line bus service has been fixed at Rs30 while the cost of the shuttle service from Athal to Bihara will be Rs15.

Passengers traveled for free on the Green Line bus service for more than three months.

The fare will come into force from tomorrow. However, the Blue Line passengers will still be able to travel for free.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Orange Line in April and ordered the CDA to provide free bus service to people for one month.

However, the government took a few months in deciding the fare. The CDA board, which met chairman Mohammad Usman in the chair took up the issue of metro bus fare
