Former information minister Fawad Chaudry took a dig at new Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb dubbing her as a Candy Crush Lady who could not fathom the rigmarole of economic numbers while advising the new government to rescind the previous regime’s agreement with IMF and move forward, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Fawad took to his Twitter handle on Sunday and wrote: “When you keep playing Candy Crush all the time, you will always talk foolish. The PTI government borrowed a total of $52 billion, out of which $38 billion were gone in repayment of loans which your governments had taken in the past. If you do not like the agreement with the IMF, then why this beggar government keeps going to attend the IMF board meeting? You should revoke this agreement and move forward.

Earlier, Ms Aurangzeb tweeted: “Shaukat Tarin Sahib finally admitted that Imran Sahib took a loan of Rs20,000 billion in four years of government which is 76% of the total loan taken in the history of Pakistan. Many such confessions are yet to be made by Imran Sahib.”

Hammad Azhar terms budget frivolous

While commenting on budget, former energy minister Hammad Azhar termed it a frivolous budget which would open floodgates of inflation and unemployment across the country.

In his tweet, Azhar wrote: “All the targets in the current budget are based on lies. All economic experts have termed it a frivolous budget. The economic crisis which the imported government has created, the current budget does not present any no way out from it. Due to incompetence of the imported government, the country is going to be flooded with inflation and unemployment.”
