LESCO Director Human Resource Azia Shoaib resigns

Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) Director Human Resource (HR) Azia Shoaib on Thursday resigned from her post, citing personal reasons, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Quoting its sources, the channel reported that LESCO Chief Shahid Haider had accepted her resignation.

Azia, who remained the director HR for seven years, however, would continue to work until November 1, they informed.

Sources disclosed that the LESCO management had now decided to appoint Zameer Hussain Kalachi on the post instead.

Similarly, they revealed, Director General (DG) Admin Mian Muhammad Afzal had been sent on forced leave since he had developed differences with the Board of Directors Chairman Hafiz Mian Noman.   

Giving further details, sources said that the bone of contention between the two was the appointment of a close relative of the chairman in the admin department.
