Former information minister and PML-N Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Thursday said the daughter of one prime minister was assassinated outside Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi while the people also saw with their own eyes what happened with the daughter of another premier, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

About the current political situation, he said it was very difficult for the current government to stay in power. “I don’t feel this government will survive the next four to five months,” the PML-N senator opined.

“It is a change that the people have now started boiling with anger. People want to get rid of the government. When the governments weakened, they resort to lawlessness through police and employees,” he said.

Talking to reporters at the Parliament House in Islamabad, Pervaiz said assassination attempt was made on the life of Maryam Nawaz. Her vehicle was first targeted with teargas and then stones but Almighty Allah saved her, he added.

He rejected the impression of any grouping headed by Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam within the PML-N, saying he had been hearing about that since 1993. Factions within in the PML-N had remained some people’s desire but it never materialised, remarked Pervaiz who is a close aide of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam.
