IG Punjab pays homage to martyred constable

Punjab Inspector General Inam Ghani has said that the entire nation salutes brave martyrs like Constable Shafqat Ali who sacrificed his life in the line of duty.
Constable Shafqat Ali was injured in violent protests by the banned party. After two months of life and death struggle, Shafqat succumbed to his injuries. He was subjected to the worst torture on April 13 at Karol Ghati by the workers of a banned party. He was undergoing treatment in his native area of Pindi Bhattian.
Punjab IG Inam Ghani and Lahore Police Chief Ghulam Mahmood Dogar expressed deep sorrow over the death of Constable Shafqat. They paid tribute to the martyr's sacrifice. Praising him, the IG said that Punjab Police has always made great sacrifices for the protection of life and property of the citizens and the entire nation and the police force saluted the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
