Sahibzada Farhan's ton and Immad Waseem's three wickets power Islamabad United to crush the Peshawar Zalmi by 102 runs on Monday to seal their second consecutive win in the PSL10 clash at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

In reply to a massive total of 243, Zalmi batters crumbled under pressure and they were all out for 141 runs in 18.2 overs despite a fighting knock from opening batter Mohammad Haris, who scored a blistering 87.

Peshawar Zalmi suffered their second consecutive defeat in the ongoing PSL 10.

Haris stood out as the lone warrior for Zalmi, scoring an impressive 87 runs, laced with 12 fours and 4 sixes.

His aggressive innings provided some hope early in the chase, but a lack of support from the other end and regular fall of wickets derailed the team's efforts.

The rest of the batting lineup crumbled under pressure, failing to counter the opposition’s disciplined bowling attack.

Star batter and captain Babar Azam once again failed to deliver under pressure, managing just 1 run.

The rest of the top order crumbled quickly with Saim Ayub scoring 6, Mitchell Owen 10, and Tom Kohler-Cadmore departing for 8 runs.

The middle and lower order offered little resistance as Islamabad’s bowlers maintained tight control throughout the innings.

For Islamabad United, the bowling unit put up a disciplined performance.

Veteran all-rounder Imad Wasim led the charge with figures of 3 wickets for 26 runs. Skipper Shadab Khan and pacer Ben Dwarshuis claimed two wickets apiece, keeping Zalmi under pressure right from the start.

Earlier, Sahibzada Farhan's ton propels Islamabad United to set a 244-run target for Peshawar Zalmi

After being asked to bat first, United suffered an early setback when Andries Gous was dismissed for a duck, run out by Tom Kohler-Cadmore, leaving the score at 9/1 in 1.2 overs.

However, Sahibzada Farhan and Colin Munro quickly turned the tide, launching an aggressive counterattack. The pair put together a blistering 100-run partnership, propelling United to 128/1 after just 11 overs.

Farhan, in outstanding form, reached his fourth PSL fifty and appeared poised to score his maiden PSL century.

In a sensational display, the explosive opener brought up his first-ever PSL hundred in just 49 balls, equaling the record for the fastest century by an Islamabad United batter in the league's history.

The 144-run partnership between Farhan and Munro was eventually broken by Alzarri Joseph, who dismissed Munro for 40, leaving United at 153/2 in 13.1 overs.

Joseph struck again in the same over, removing Farhan for a brilliant 106 off just 52 balls, which included 13 fours and five sixes.

Salman Ali Agha and Azam Khan then came together for a 34-run partnership for the fourth wicket, helping to steady the ship and push for a larger total. However, Azam Khan was dismissed for 16 by Hussain Talat, leaving United at 188/4 in 16.1 overs.

Jason Holder joined Agha at the crease, and the pair added 27 runs before Agha was dismissed by Talat, who took his second wicket of the day. Talat finished with impressive figures of 30 runs off 15 deliveries, leaving United at 215/5 in 18.1 overs.

In the final stages, Holder and Ben Dwarshuis remained unbeaten, adding 20 and 18 runs respectively, as United finished with a giant total of 235/5, setting Peshawar Zalmi a challenging target to chase.

Islamabad United announced two changes to their playing XI, while Peshawar Zalmi made a change to their lineup.

Islamabad United's captain, Shadab Khan, expressed confidence in his team's batting strength, stating, "Our batting is strong; we will try to post a big total."

This comes after United's convincing victory over Lahore Qalandars in their opening match of the tournament.

On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi's captain, Babar Azam, acknowledged shortcomings in their previous performance, adding, "Our bowling wasn't up to the mark in the first match."

Zalmi suffered a significant defeat against Quetta Gladiators in their tournament opener.
